Recently CBCGDF found more than 800 pictures of birds drawn by early religious missionaries during the year 1876-1880s in the Qin Dynasty under emperor Guang Xu. From our knowledge, we believe many of these birds are now extinct.
Based on these, CBCGDF are currently planning to have a project to find out which of these birds are already extinct and which of them are endangered, shortly after that, we intend to hold an exhibition here in China to educate and inform people on the precious early recordings of the bird biodiversity.
CBCGDF plan to hold the exhibition probably in March and after that, we are thinking about if the exhibition can also be done in the UK and Vatican City. This is because this precious painting was done by early religious missionaries during their time here in China where they served as ambassadors to Cultural, religious and scientific exchange.
