Recently, the China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF) Policy and Research Department received local whistleblowers report that a landfill project in Shishou City, Hubei Province falsely reported the letter of commitment signed by the farmers.
In order to investigate whether this landfill project has illegal acts such as false reports, the CBCGDF Policy and Research Department specifically applied to the local ecological environment department for government information disclosure. The requested government information disclosure is as follows:
1. The environmental impact assessment report of the Tanjiashan landfill project in Boyakou Village, Diaoguan Town, Shishou City, and the approval documents.
CBCGDF Policy and Research Department hopes that the local ecological environment department will respond to this application as soon as possible. It is hoped that the local government will be open, fair and transparent in dealing with waste landfill projects. While considering municipal construction, it also considers the local ecological environment to ensure that environmental and people’s livelihood projects truly benefit the local people.
