The high-level meeting of the United Nations Conference on Biological Diversity (CBD COP15) was officially opened at 14:00 on October 12, 2021.
The theme of CBD COP15 is “Ecological Civilization-Building a Shared Future for ALl Life on Earth”. China is one of the first countries to sign and ratify the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD). As the host country of COP15, China will work together with the international community to contribute Chinese wisdom and strength to global biodiversity conservation. As an observer of the UN Convention on Biological Diversity, the China Green Development Council sent a delegation to Kunming, Yunnan Province to participate in this COP15 conference.
On October 11, CBCGDF Media was authorized by CBD Secretariat to broadcast the whole UN Biodiversity Conference. “On October 11, 164,994 people watched online, and on October 12, 109,976 people watched online this historic UN Biodiversity Conference.
The COP15 high-level meeting was divided into: Leaders Summit, Ministerial Plenary, Parallel Roundtable A and Parallel Roundtable B.
