Ciconia Boyciana Station Investigation in Jiangsu

On October 16, the Research Department of CBCGDF was accompanied by relevant personnel from Gaoyou Power Supply Company and Yangzhou Power Supply Company, went to the wetland by Gaoyou Lake for inspection. It is close to Gaoyou Lake, with ditches and lakes, a vast wetland area, which is also the typical habitat favored by the Ciconia boyciana during its annual north-south migration.

Before this year’s migratory season, Gaoyou Power Supply Company once again planned to build 10 artificial nests to protect the Oriental White Stork. on October 15, the power grid workers had successfully installed three artificial nests and installed monitoring equipment for one of the nests before the Oriental White Stork entered the nest to incubate, so as to observe and record its habits at any time. Gaoyou related personnel, they will continue to join forces to protect the Oriental White Stork, the most honored friend of the place, and also hope to share with other local power grid companies the Gaoyou experience of “people and birds are safe”created here.
