The 2022 “China with Science & Technology Innovation, Xin’an of Wisdom” event was held on May 24 in Jiande City, Hangzhou. The event was co-sponsored by the Science and Technology Communication Center of the China Association for Science and Technology, the Zhejiang Association for Science and Technology, and China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF). Many academicians and experts gathered by the Xin’an River to discuss the industrial development trend and enterprise development strategy under the “double carbon” goal, and better promote the implementation of the “timetable” and “roadmap” of “carbon peak and carbon neutral”. The event focuses on the “double carbon” goal, is committed to the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries, adheres to innovation-driven, accelerates green, low-carbon and high-quality development, and promotes the construction of livable Jiande.
A program themed on “China with Science and Technology Innovation -Xin’an Think Tank” was initiated, aiming to gather the wisdom of experts in the province, make suggestions for the green and low-carbon transformation of Jiande, and strive to create a new highland for the development of talent science and technology innovation in western Zhejiang. At the unveiling ceremony, five units including CBCGDF, Chinese Society of Technology Economics, China Association for Standardization, China Energy Conservation Association, and China National Institute of Standardization Resource and Environment Research Branch jointly awarded the first national “Double-Carbon Industrial Technology Base in Jiande.
A county-level low-carbon technology cloud dialogue was held. The first-line governance experience and in-depth thinking of the county-level work leaders or relevant leading cadres from 4 double-carbon industrial technology-featured counties and cities focused on the theme of “county governance”.
Hundreds of experts discussed the goals of green “double carbon” and common prosperity from different perspectives online and offline.
