This visit to Shahe Wetland is based on the previous work to further understand the real situation of wetland biodiversity and upload the existing biodiversity data to the Global Biodiversity Information Facility (GBIF), then to start the comprehensive biodiversity survey, assessment, adaptation, offset and restoration.
Since its launch in 2016, the Shahe Wetland Park project has received widespread attention from organizations in the field of biodiversity conservation due to the suspected pseudo-ecological engineering in its development and construction, especially the biodiversity surveys involved in the project’s Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and feasibility study reports.
