On June 6, 2022, the Jiangxi Poyang Lake Office released the “Announcement on Holding a Public Participation Hearing on Environmental Impact Assessment of Jiangxi Poyang Lake Sluice Gate Project” (hereinafter referred to as the “Announcement”).
The “Announcement” stated that a public participation hearing on the environmental impact assessment of the Poyang Lake Water Control Project will be held on June 18 in Gongqingcheng, Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province, and the public’s opinions will be heard. This hearing will openly solicit 20 participants.
The organizer of the hearing (Poyang Lake Water Control Project Construction Office of Jiangxi Province) welcomes the participation of citizens, and other organizations.
At the end of May this year, the second public participation has ended. The next hearing on June 18 is crucial for the construction of the project.
