On October 18, a delegation led by Wen Ting, deputy director from the Children’s Publishing Center of Publishing House of Electronics Industry visited China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF) and communicated on topic of strengthening the publishing of children’s books in the green field.
At the meeting, Dr. Zhou Jinfeng, Secretary-General of CBCGDF, said: CBCGDF has carried out in-depth researches and practices on ecological civilization and biodiversity, and accumulated a lot of experience and cases. He indicated the importance of popularizing the scientific knowledge of biodiversity and green development to children, and emphasized that only when children make changes in their awareness and actions can the future development of the world have more possibilities and hope.
CBCGDF and the Publishing House of Electronics Industry should give full play to the advantages of both parties, transforming outstanding cases in the field of biodiversity conservation and green development into interesting stories that are easy for children to accept, and investing manpower and material resources to support the compilation of the series, to strive to make the carbon neutral series of books into popular science books for young people and maximize the books’ social value.
Ms. Wen Ting introduced the general situation of Little Mammoth Children’s Book, the children’s book brand of the Children’s Publishing Center, as well as the overall business and main work of the center, and presented to Dr. Zhou a gift of Children’s books. She said that green development and carbon neutrality require active exploration and joint promotion in various industries and fields. She hopes to join hands with CBCGDF to improve and strengthen children’s books in the field of high-quality popular science resources, and provide industry assistance and support for accelerating green development and achieving carbon neutrality.
