Suihua is located in the Hulan River Basin of Songnen Plain in the middle of Heilongjiang Province. In February 2021, local volunteers applied to China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF) for the establishment of Community Conservation Area for wetland at Suihua to strengthen the protection of biodiversity and ecological environment. For the last two years, a series of work has been done by CBCGDF and its volunteers to protect the environment of their hometown, including:
I. The protection of terrestrial ecological environment;
1) Take actions to protect wildlife;
2) Conduct mountain patrol and forest protection;
II. The protection of mother river;
1) Organize fishing protection actions;
2) Keep the river bank clean and get rid of illegal constructions nearby;
3) Protect wetland;
III. Improvement of environment at human settlements.
IV. Participation in epidemic prevention.
