A Bird and Many Fish Rescued in the CBCGDF Wetland Conservation Area in Taiyang Island, in Harbin City

Recently, volunteers from the China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF) Wetland Conservation Area(CCAfa) in Taiyang Island in Harbin City, in Heilongjiang Province, rescued a bird and a lot of fish, trapped in a long illegal net in Songhua River during the fishing ban period.

CBCGDF Wetland Conservation Area in Sun Island in Harbin City consists of river wetlands, swamp wetlands and artificial wetlands. Water, as the soul of Sun Island Wetland, occupies about 70% of the area, most of which are tributaries of the Songhua River and swamps.

The Songhua River runs through the city, and thousands of hectares of wetlands lie quietly in it. Away from the hustle and bustle of the city, you can also enjoy the natural beauty and rich ecological resources of the wetland. There are many kinds of aquatic and terrestrial vegetation and wild animals here, showing a unique wetland ecological landscape.

CBCGDF CCAfa in Taiyang Island is a paradise for birds. The wetland provides a vast habitat for birds, about 23 species of waterfowl can be seen here, including brown shrike(Lanius cristatus), Chlidonias leucopterus, black-browed reed warbler (Acrocephalus bistrigiceps), etc.. These rare birds add vitality to the wetland, making this CBCGDF CCAfa in Taiyang Island a beautiful place integrating natural scenery and ecological diversity.
