CBCGDF Climate Change Working Group NominateExperts for Work Related to IPCC AR7

Recently, the Climate Change Working Group of China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF) nominated Associate Professor Guo Shan to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) for participation in the work related to the seventh assessment report (AR7).

Associate Professor Guo Shan works at the Renmin University of China and has been engaged in teaching and research in areas such as sustainable land use, land ecological economics, urbanization, and resource and environmental management for a long time. He has published over 40 papers in authoritative domestic and foreign journals such as Land Use Policy, Environmental Science and Technology, among which 23 papers have been published as first/corresponding authors, with a total of more than 1200 citations. Three papers have been indexed as ESI hot topics or highly cited papers. She has led 1 national level project, 2 provincial and ministerial level projects, and 7 other projects conducted by the Renmin University of China and so on. She received funding for outstanding talent cultivation in Beijing, a research model at the Renmin University of China, and young scholar Wu Yuzhang from the Renmin University of China. She also served as a member of the Ecological Environment System Engineering Professional Committee of the Chinese Society of Systems Engineering, editor of the International Journal of Construction Management special issue of FMS management, and reviewer for high-level journals recognized by domestic and foreign scholars such as Environmental Science & Technology, Land Use Policy, Landscape and Urban Planning.

The Scoping Meeting for the IPCC Seventh Assessment Report (AR7) to be held tentatively in December 2024 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The CBCGDF Climate Change Working Group will continue the follow-up services and actively promote the participation and contribution of Chinese scientific and technological workers in international ecological protection and climate change issues.
