On January 1, 2024, the newly revised Law of the People’s Republic of China on Administrative Reconsideration officially came into effect, putting forward new and higher requirements for the administrative response to administrative reconsideration of natural resources. On the basis of summarizing practical experience and conducting in-depth thematic research, the Ministry of Natural Resources has issued the “Regulations on Administrative Response to Administrative Reconsiderations of Natural Resources (Draft for Comments)” to solicit opinions from all sectors of society.
The draft for soliciting opinions is based on the “Regulations on Administrative Reconsideration of Natural Resources” and the “Regulations on Administrative Response of Natural Resources”, which merge the two regulations into one, facilitating the establishment of systems and unified implementation. After careful study, the Legal Working Committee of the China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF) put forward and submitted nine suggestions to the Ministry of Natural Resources.
