A New Round of Central Environmental Protection Inspection Launched | CBCGDF Continues to Collect Clues on Ecological and Environmental Violations

On May 7, 2024, the third round and second batch of central ecological and environmental protection inspections were fully launched by the Ministry of Ecology and Environment of the People’s Republic of China. Seven central environmental protection inspection teams carried out inspection work in 7 provinces (or cities), including Shanghai, Zhejiang, Jiangxi, Hubei, Hunan, Chongqing, and Yunnan, for about one month, and coordinated river basin inspections and provincial inspections.

The Legal Working Committee of the China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF) initiated and solicited reports on ecological and environmental violations (https://weibo.com/3984615823/4995458564884497).

Among the reports of environmental pollution and damaging materials, CBCGDF Legal Working Committee found that some complaints still need to be further resolved after the reports were accepted. To this end, it has launched the “CBCGDF Legal Aid” fundraising project, hoping to help more people solve the problem of ecological and environmental damage.

CBCGDF attaches great importance to the third round and second batch of central environmental protection inspections that have been launched, and hopes to contribute to the national environmental protection work through actions. In this regard, it has publicly solicited the following tips for reporting environmental pollution and ecological damage from the public:

1. Situations that seriously pollute the atmosphere, water, and soil environment, as well as situations where there are relevant certification materials for being harmed by noise or radiation;

2. Illegal occupation or destruction of forests, grasslands, wetlands, nature reserves, cultural relics, etc.;

3. Illegal felling of trees, illegal mining of national rare plants and mineral deposits, hunting, transporting and trading of wild animals, destroying wild animal habitats, etc.

4. Other situations that damage the ecology and pollute the environment.

CBCGDF will actively promote the resolution of reported issues. If you are experiencing the above-mentioned ecological environment damage or want to participate in ecological and environmental protection work with us, please contact us: 18910282517 (WeChat) or 18001102598 (WeChat); v19@cbcgdf.org
