On May 13, 2024, the China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF) hosted the first meeting of the Overseas Chinese Federation in Beijing.
Shi Yue, Chairman of the Haidian District Overseas Chinese Federation and Vice Chairman of the Beijing Overseas Chinese Federation, attended the meeting. Shi Yue congratulated the establishment of the Overseas Chinese Federation of CBCGDF and emphasized its wide range of contacts and services, especially for returned overseas students and overseas Chinese.
She pointed out that the Overseas Chinese Federation of CBCGDF is a new innovation of the grassroots organization. She expected it to play an important role in promoting green development and ecological conservation and driving more overseas Chinese to participate in biodiversity conservation. Shi Yue also emphasized the importance of biodiversity conservation and building a community of human destiny and called for joint efforts to contribute to a better future for the Earth.
