CBCGDF Youth Representative in Partnerships Day | CBCGDF Delegation in INC-4

On April 22, 2024, on the eve of the official opening of the fourth session of the Intergovernmental Negotiating Committee for a Plastics Treaty (INC-4), CBCGDF youth delegates participated in the Partnerships Day, hosted by Environment Canada and the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF).

This Partnerships Day emphasized the serious impacts of plastic pollution on the environment and human health, pointing out the low global recycling rate of plastics and the damage to marine life and terrestrial ecosystems.

They also propose multifaceted solutions to address plastic pollution, including reducing single-use plastic, strengthening global cooperation, and respecting the wisdom of Aboriginal people. 

It also highlighted the important role of indigenous peoples in environmental protection and called for joint global efforts to address plastic pollution.

In addition, to the discussions and presentations of proposals by representatives of various parties in the conference, the article calls on everyone to realize their responsibilities and actively participate in actions to protect the environment.
